Flywheel magneto assy NTS 6V-15/5-3W for Ilo/Victoria/NSU/RMW etc.

Replaces Stefa, Noris, Bosch, Siba, Romag & Auto Union ignition systems for several engines with the shorter bolt spacing for the stator plate and the narrower taper for the flywheel. Fits ILO G50, HVA D-engine, NSU, Pilot FM50/FM504, Victoria M50/M51, DKW 801, and others.
Intended for machines with brake lights.”

*For some engines, timing adjustment using a strobe light may be necessary!

  • Flywheel, outer diameter: 115mm
  • Stator plate, outer diameter: Ø = approx. 85.5mm
  • Stator plate, bolt spacing c-c: approx. 67mm
  • Ignition coil/light coil, bolt spacing: c-c: approx. 54mm
  • Ignition cable: L = ~400mm
  • Headlight/brake light coil: 6V-15/5W
  • Tail light coil: 6V-3W
  • Rotation direction: Counterclockwise/Clockwise (*see above)
  • For crankshaft with taper: K1:10 (10%) and input diameter Ø = 10mm
  • Flywheel puller: Thread M24x1.5 (see NTS part no: 01-37-403)

Brake light: 6V-5W

Note!

The isolator plate must be mounted under the ignition cable on the ignition coil (as shown in the pictures) to prevent electrical arcing.
Also, lubricate the felt that oils the flywheel cam to reduce wear on the contact breaker points!
The contact gap should be set to approx. 0.35~0.45mm with the breaker points fully open. This is done using a feeler gauge (see part no. 14-61-401).

Note: On some ILO G50 engines, it may be necessary to slightly grind the Reinforcement heels on the inside of the flywheel cover to allow the flywheel to rotate freely!
